Popis: Results from air pressure and cephalometric measurements for control and cleft palate patients have been compared and correlated to evaluate palatopharyngeal competency. Distances measured in a static condition correlated best with nasal air flow. Pressure data correlated least with cephalometric measurements, and their value as a measure of palatopharyngeal competency is doubtful.
