| Popis: | The lesion diameters obtained following vaccination with double strength BCG vaccine (0·30 mg moist weight/ml) were similar to those obtained with United Kingdom strength BCG vaccine (0·15 mg moist weight/ml) and the types of vaccination lesions obtained were also similar. One child on each potency of vaccine failed to convert to tuberculin positive (there was approximately 99·6% conversion with each potency). It is concluded that the double potency vaccine, as required by UNICEF, is acceptable for BCG vaccination in the United Kingdom. |
