Popis: | International audience; This paper investigated the pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) decomposition of a class of continuous phase modulation (CPM) signal, which has the property to be a single-side band. We used the PAM decomposition as a convenient solution to provide a large reduced complexity trellis detection to approach the theoretical optimal performance. Moreover, we developed an algorithm to obtain the necessary PAM pulses to approach the optimal performance bound using suboptimal receivers. The algorithm is generic; it can provide the results for any parameter combinations. The proposed demodulation system exhibits excellent performance with minimal complexity with respect to the maximum likelihood sequence detection (MLSD) optimal receiver. |
