Popis: | Summary In 31 patients mostly suffering from heart disease the fibrinolytic activity of hepatic vein blood has been estimated by the euglobulin lysis time method and compared with that in the venae cavae and the right atrium. It was significantly less. Lysis times in the hepatic vein were also longer than in a systemic artery but not to a significant degree. Artificial sequestration of blood in the hepatic vein for 3 min led to some reduction (not statistically significant) in fibrinolytic activity. |
