| Popis: | EDITORIAL COMMENT: This is an account of a unique experience by a physician who extended her care of women with insulin-dependent diabetes to their prepregnancy and pregnancy care. Dr Judith Steel pioneered the concept of prepregnancy counselling for women with insulin-dependent diabetes. Having enjoyed this lecture we asked Dr Steel to provide this historical account of her life's work for our readers' benefit. We know of no other prepregnancy clinic for diabetics that can claim more than a 75% attendance. |
