| Popis: | This paper focuses on the switching surge duties imposed on capacitors and air-cored reactors which are used in single tuned filters at arc furnace installations. Switching surge studies are often necessary to fully rate these components. Rating guidelines are provided. An example compares conventional filter designs with designs in which switching surges are considered. |
