Popis: Superfine printed structures featuring dimensions in the micro range increasingly gain importance particularly in the fields of printed electronics and biomedicine. Within the scope of the BMBF-funded joint research project "Bioreel", a customized printing machine was designed and a roll-to-roll printing process was established, which allows for an efficient, structured printing of proteins on large-area foil substrates. With the help of an innovative laser ablation method, structures with dimensions smaller than 10 µm were realized on the surface of a printing cylinder. The printing cylinder was successfully employed in the new printing machine for the transfer of protein patterns on polymer foils.
