Popis:	This contribution explains the genesis and the functioning of the supplementary free pension for employees or "PLCS" In Belgium. Since March 2019, the PLCS has allowed employees in the private sector to build up an additional pension linked to their professional activity in the absence of (sufficient) provisions in this regard within their company. This contribution then provides a critical analysis of the characteristics of the PLCS in relation to the mechanisms existing within the second and third pillars of pensions.
