PDF file - 1.1MB, (A) Patient serum samples were analyzed for Th1 induced cytokines interferon-� (IFN-�), tumor necrosis factor-� (TNF-�) and interleukin-2 (IL-2) and Th2 cytokines interleukin-4 (IL-4), interleukin-5 (IL-5) and Interleukin 10 (IL-10). The ratio between Th1 and Th2 type cytokines was assessed. Cytokines levels are reported relative to their baseline level, which was set as 1 and a ratio between Th1/Th2 was calculated for each time point. (B) Malignant ascites of patient R8 and pleural effusion of patient T181 were analyzed for Th1 induced cytokines IFN-� and IL-2, and for Th2 induced IL-10 before and after treatment. |
