Popis: | galegoThe following article was written in order to try to demonstrate, as much as possible and based in empirical data, that Mentoring is an effective tool to provide orientation and help to the future-to-be translators regarding their first leap of faith into the real translation market. The gathered data refer to APTRAD´s (Portuguese Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters) Mentoring Programmes undertaken between the year 2015 and the year 2020, and also to the placements in the Public Higher Education in Portugal in BA`s in Translation. With these data in mind, and with the conclusions arising from the same, the aim is to explain, as much as possible, why Mentoring is necessary, and would be useful, in Universities, namely in Translation courses, in order to call the attention of the students, and future-to-be professionals, to the professional translation world. portuguesO presente artigo e redigido com o objetivo de tentar demonstrar, com base em dados empiricos, que o Mentoring e uma ferramenta eficaz para orientar e ajudar os futuros profissionais da traducao relativamente a sua entrada no mercado real da traducao profissional. Os dados recolhidos dizem respeito a programas de Mentoring da APTRAD (Associacao Portuguesa de Profissionais de Traducao eInterpretacao), realizados entre os anos de 2015 e de 2020 e ainda as colocacoes no Ensino Superior Publico em Portugal em Licenciaturas em Traducao. Pretende-se, com os dados recolhidos e com as conclusoes tiradas, explicar, tanto quanto possivel, porque e que o Mentoring e necessario nas Universidades, nomeadamente nos cursos de Traducao, para chamar a atencao dos alunos, e futuros profissionais de traducao, para o mundo profissional da traducao. |
