Popis:	Preconditioning has been successfully used to accelerate the conjugate-gradient algorithm for inverting the lattice Dirac operator in the Wilson formulation. However, technical problems have arisen when trying to apply it in the Kogut-Susskind formulation. We discuss attempts to circumvent the technical problems and to find a successful way to precondition the Kogut-Susskind fermion matrix.
