This is dung beetle diversity survey conducted inLuasong Forest Reserve, Tawau, Sabah, Malaysia (4° 28’ N to 5° 06’ N; 116° 49’ E to 117°30’ E) on12nd-15th Dec 2016; 9th-17th January 2017.The grid system was used to organise the distribution of plots within the study area to provide a reference for the spatial random effect used in the model. Each grid represents 1km x 1km. Pitfall traps were set up using dung from cattle, sumatran rhino, elephant, sambar deer, human, sun bear, proboscis monkey, orangutan, bear cat, and clouded leopard. The pitfall traps were set up for 48 hours, and spaced 200 metres between the traps. |
