Popis: Pteronarcys scotti Ricker, 1952 http://lsid.speciesfile.org/urn:lsid: Plecoptera.speciesfile.org: TaxonName:470668 (Figs. 58–66) Remarks and Distribution. When viewed dorsally the projections of AB 1-7 in P. scotti are less developed than those observed in P. proteus, outer margins of largest projections appearing nearly straight in dorsal view (Figs. 59, 62, 66). Viewed laterally the spines of AB5-7 appear as low rugose ridges that are nearly indiscernible, projecting past the posterior margin of the segment minimally in lateral view (Figs. 58, 61). Measured in dorsal view AB4 POM/SW P. proteus (Figs. 64, 66). This species is restricted to the Appalachians with records available from Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee (Nelson 2000). Material Examined.
