Popis: | SummaryIn rheumatoid arthritis the following observations were made on the disappearance rate of radioactivity from the knee joints after injection into these joints of human serum albumin labelled with I131. Cases with knee joint exudates, as well as cases with capsular thickening only, showed increased disappearance rate in comparison with clinically normal knee joints. The disappearance rate from knee joints with exudates was rather uniform in the different cases, despite varying severity of the disease.Repeated injections of hydrocortisone acetate into the knee joints with exudates seemed to retard or normalize the disappearance rate. |
