Popis: | This paper describes the medical activity performed during the 1990 World Games for the Disabled, in Saint-Etienne, France. These Games were attended by 1200 athletes, 229 consultations were performed, and 175 treatments were administered by the medical team. This activity represents a rather high frequency of medical problems, linked either to the disabling disease or to sports injuries. There is a need for specific equipment, for better training of disabled athletes and for improved preparation. |
