Popis: | Serious intracranial lesions may be associated with trauma to the facial skeleton.1 In their series, Noyek et al2 reported associated intracranial pathology in one third of the patients with facial trauma, and vascular occlusion from thrombosis among the late sequelae. Septic cerebral venous thrombosis is known to occur only in the presence of an acute infectious process.3 We report an unusual case of septic superior sagittal sinus thrombosis (SSST) presenting as an early complication of a complex facial trauma. |
