Popis: | C57BI mice, allowed to breathe a cigarette smoke:air mixture for short periods and at frequent intervals throughout their lives, develop a higher incidence of lung cancers, adenomas and carcinomas, than untreated control animals. Smoke from cigarettes made from a flue-cured tobacco (T2) was more toxic and elicited cancers more quickly than that from cigarettes made from air-dried tobacco (T3) from the same crop. Filtered smoke :air from T2 and unfiltered smoke gave similar yields of lung tumours. |
