Popis: Since the publication of the first microarray experiment in 1995 [1], this technology has rapidly evolved and has now become one of the major tools for global geneexpression profiling. The results of recent microarray studies have greatly added to our understanding of e.g., disease pathways [2-5], mechanisms of drug action [6], and tumor classification [7,8] underlining the increasingly important role of geneexpression profiling in biomedicine.
