Popis: | A technique is described which allows perfusion of an isolated, ventilated pig lung with an extracorporeal veno-venous circuit from a support animal. This model is stable for up to 4 h, and avoids some of the disadvantages of alternative small animal and large animal models of lung transplantation. It may be useful in the investigation of factors affecting lung preservation and reperfusion injury. |
