Popis: | Severe histopathological irregularities in the epiphyseal plates of rats became evident following three daily injections of sublethal amounts of sodium selenate. If administered on alternate days over a thirty-day period, the pathological effects are less pronounced. The articular cartilages are unaffected by the selenate. An attempt was made to influence a transplantable murine chondrosarcoma by chronic administration of sodium selenate to tumorbearing mice. The sodium selenate had no effect on the tumor. |
