Popis:	Tyrosine phosphorylation is an essential step in the transduction of extracellular stimuli into target cells. Here, we describe a method which allows the localization of phosphotyrosine nonradioactively. Solid phase sequencing of phosphotyrosine-containing peptides and subsequent capillary electrophoresis of PTH-phosphotyrosine permits the unambiguous identification of this phosphoamino acid. Less than 1 picomol PTH-phosphotyrosine can be determined without any need for radioactive labelling.
