Popis: CONGENITAL cystic eye is a rare anomaly. 1 The purpose of this report is to describe the appearance and management of an unusual example of this anomaly. Report of a Case The patient was seen at 1 day of age. He was referred by the delivering physician because of a "lump" on his left eye (Fig 1). Examination revealed a 3,175 gm (7 lb) newborn white boy normal except for a mass which measured 25 mm × 15 mm × 12 mm protruding between the left eye lids. A translucent "wing" protruded from the tip of the mass. When the lids were separated a thick stalk supporting the mass seemed to fill the orbit and nothing resembling an eye could be seen. The right eye appeared normal. Roentgenograms of the skull revealed a slightly smaller orbit on the left, but the superior orbital fissure and optic foramen on the left
