Suriname, French Guyana, Guyana and Brazil (states of Amazonas, Amapá, Pará and Roraima) (Kensley & Walker 1982; Melo 2003; Pachelle & Tavares 2018; Pimentel & Magalhães 2014; Santos et al. 2018). Distribution in Amapá state. Streams in gallery forests in savannas; basins of rivers Santo Antônio, Aporema, Curiaú, Matapi, Cupixi, Mutum, Amapari, Anacuí, Anotaié, Jari, Baliza stream (tributary of the Iratapuru River) and Pracuúba Lake. Previous records. Pachelle & Tavares (2018); Pimentel & Magalhães (2014); Santos et al. (2018) and Vieira (2003, 2008) Ecological notes. Species collected in streams with beds with a lot of leaves and shaded. Remarks. The specimens analyzed in this study correspond to the descriptions of (Melo 2003; Pachelle & Tavares 2018; dos Santos et al. 2018).
