Popis: This study analyzed the growth rate of livestock sector with the view to ascertain the influence of Agriculture Perspective Plan (APP 1995/96-2014/2015) on what. Study was based on time series data (1975-2014) obtained from FAO stat. The years were divided into two period's i.e. period before APP implementation and period during APP implementation. Compound growth rate was calculated to compare growth rate between these periods. The result revealed that during APP growth rate of livestock population was accelerated from 0.73 to 1.23 % per annum; meat production was decelerated from 3.53 to 3.05% per annum, numbers of egg was accelerate from 2.5% to 4.53% per annum and milk production was accelerated from 1.75 to 3.15% per annum was accelerated as compared to period before AP implementation. Agriculture perspective plan had also shifted herd from large ruminant's cattle and buffalo to small ruminant's sheep, goats and poultry sector. The study also revealed that during APP period per capita food availability of milk and meat was increased to 40.69 and 12.21 kg/capita/year, respectively but net trade was negative-20009000$ at end of period.
