Popis:	The financial viability of two major renewable energy technologies, namely photovoltaic and wind energy, were studied for the central region of Portugal and results demonstrate that whereas photovoltaic energy systems are still too expensive to implement, wind energy system have become an interesting complement to conventional energy systems.
