Popis: | Previous observations in pregnant women, pregnant animals, and animals treated with human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) have suggested this agent might influence the immune response during pregnancy. This experiment confirms that alterations in the thymolymphatic system occur in mice treated with HCG. A depression of the anamnestic response in mice treated with HCG and immunized with sheep red blood cells is demonstrated, but the specific mechanism by which this occurs is not revealed. |
