Popis: | In dogs treated with high doses of aldosterone and pitressin, sodium excretion is reduced following the rise in the transtubular oncotic pressure gradient induced either by systemic injections of albumin or dextran or by systemic infusion of small amounts of adrenalin. This effect is obtained under conditions of a constant filtered sodium load. The increased tubular sodium reabsorption is not accompanied by any change in renal oxygen consumption and is independent of plasma volume changes. These results demonstrate that a small fraction of filtered sodium is reabsorbed by a process governed by the transtubular oncotic pressure gradient. |
