The production of polyurea, an industrial polymer, is limited by the overwhelming cost and technical intricacies. This thesis explores two new ways adapted for polyurea fabrication. Electrospinning was tailored to produce transparent, flexible thin films for anti-corrosive coating applications. On the other hand, vacuum-assisted resin transfer molding was employed to produce polyurea/carbon fibre composites with potential applications in aerospace or marine industries. These two methods achieved successful films and composites with high strength and flexibility. The findings of this study manifested inexpensive and simple fabrication techniques with high durability that can revolutionize the polyurea industry. |
