| Popis: | 17 beta-estradiol enhances dihydrotestosterone-induced growth of the castrate male rat kidney by increasing cell number, cell size and tissue water retention. No estrogen enhancement was observed in sex accessory tissues or other organs. This estrogen enhancement of androgen-induced growth is discussed in relation to species and organ specificity. |
