| Popis: | Due to the publication of the novel by Umberto Eco The name of the rose, the historical novel changed in style and narrative and these changes made possible for the genre to have a better reception among the readers. The resulting success produced an increase in the production of the historical novel and a change in the readers as it was aimed to a more general public. The article analyses the keys of this success and the influence this novel had on other genre works published in Spain in the last decades. |
