Popis: | Public health workers have a significant need for current health information. Decisions based on this information can have a substantial impact on human and animal health as global public health issues surface [1]. Diseases can be spread from animals to humans and humans to animals (zoonoses), both of which directly impact human health. As such, the practice of public health spans environmental and health disciplines, and public health workers need access to diverse and complex information from many sources to support healthy people and animals. The Medical Library of the University of Kansas School of Medicine–Wichita and the College of Veterinary Medicine Library of the Kansas State University used technological strategies to educate public health workers about human and animal health information. This project's goal was to provide current, reliable, authoritative, and reviewed public health information to public health workers in Kansas. |
