| Popis: | Sleeve resection and double-barreled reconstruction are very rarely adopted for peripheral bronchial tumors. This surgical procedure was used for a carcinoid tumor in the bifurcation of the left upper and lower lobe bronchi. Bronchoplasty was accomplished by suturing the upper and basal bronchi together and anastomosing them to the left main bronchus. The techniques for double-barreled reconstruction described in this report obtained a successful result. These manipulations may be applicable to resection of other bronchial and tracheal bifurcations. |
