Launched in 1987 in Guinea, the Timbi development project is based on potato cultivation. As a follow-up of many French conducted experiments, it reflects changes in development policy orientations. Successes and difficulties help to assess the social and economic impact, highlight the challenges of developing local and national linkages of the Guinean economy with international levels. Finally, the developing partenership between French and Guinean farmers through AFDI shows the meeting of two agricultural worlds. |
