Health and wellbeing is essential enabling the individual to perform professionally and personally. The demanding workload and high-pressure nature of the paramedic profession, undoubtably has an influence on the paramedic’s health and wellbeing however the individual variance and factors associated with this is poorly understood. The objective of this review is to identify what is known about the occupational factors that influence paramedic health and wellbeing to be able to make recommendations in improving working conditions and thus health and wellbeing of the workforce. |
