Popis: | MARTYR is a dinner performance that explores food and collective virtual reality and premiered on October 22nd 2020. In this paper, we present the evaluation of two prototypes used to explore how virtual reality can affect dining experiences and how food can be used as an ingredient in virtual narratives. The results indicate that virtual reality can be used to affect perceived taste. However, the effect varied considerably between participants. Moreover, the participants appeared to accept food as an element of a virtual story, but it is unclear to what extent taste affected their experience of the narrative. |
