Popis: Cross sections for the reaction pp\ifmmode\bar\else\textasciimacron\fi{}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}${\mathit{e}}^{+}$${\mathit{e}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}}$ have been measured at s=8.9,12.4, and 13.0 ${\mathrm{GeV}}^{2}$. The cross sections have been analyzed to obtain the proton electromagnetic form factors in the timelike region. We find that ${\mathit{G}}_{\mathit{M}}$(${\mathit{q}}^{2}$)\ensuremath{\propto}${\mathit{q}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}4}$${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\alpha}}}_{\mathit{s}}^{2}$(${\mathit{q}}^{2}$) for ${\mathit{q}}^{2}$\ensuremath{\ge}5 (GeV/c${)}^{2}$.
