Popis: | An existing transverse flow flashlamp-pumped dye laser capable of operation at 500 pps for extended periods of time has been modified and optimized for operation at 502 nm using coumarin 504. Energies of over 7 J/pulse and efficiencies of over 1% have been demonstrated in single-shot operation. This has been achieved by using a spectral transfer dye in the flashlamp coolant to increase the useful output of the flashlamps. Flashlamps were tested at up to 400-J input per lamp for extended periods to develop lamp life data. |
