Popis: | Enterprise coherence governance supports enterprises to stay more coherent under dynamic circumstances. A metric for enterprise coherence would support governance and understanding correlations between coherence and enterprise’s performance and/or viability. The eECA tool that is associated with the General Enterprise Architecting (GEA) framework for enterprise coherence governance has the ability to measure enterprise coherence governance. Metrics for enterprise coherence itself were not found in literature. In this paper, the GEA C-index is proposed as a tool to measure enterprise coherence. First measurements conducted with the tool strengthens the hypothesis that coherence within enterprises is unsatisfactory on average, especially at the design level of the organization. This paper aims to contribute to metrics and quantitative approaches to assess the quality of enterprise related models. |
