| Popis: | The ongoing quandary in kidney transplantation is discovering methods to prolong graft survival. To achieve this, there is a search for optimal methods to use immunosuppressive therapy, where rejection and chronic graft damage is minimized without causing an increased risk of infections, malignancy, or toxicities. The purpose of this review was to discuss the limitations of current immunosuppressant drug monitoring as well as the clinical application of novel methods of monitoring both immunosuppressants and the immune reaction within the allograft. |
