Popis: Technological development has allowed industries to increase product quality dramatically, some segments offer products with small differences in terms of quality, functionality and price. Emotional aspects can create a product differential. In order to accomplish that, a product should stimulate users’ sensibility and interest. Theorical knowledge is the first requirement for a designer to incorporate emotional aspects into a product design. The second requirement is his/her sensibility, an emotional view of the world, which can be obtained by experiencing different kinds of emotional stimulus, such as colors, smell, music, etc. The third requirement is a perfect combination between rationality, particular to project’s technical aspects, and project’s emotional issues. This paper describes a method to reach this combination based on the main results of a multiple case study focused on the process of color selection.
