Popis: In this chapter an overview is presented of recent studies in which the impact of school leadership on student achievement was investigated. The technique of meta-analysis was used to synthesize the results of 25 studies published between 2005 and 2010. In the meta-analysis both studies exploiting direct and indirect models of school leadership were examined. Next, the conceptual content of the school leadership measures and intermediary variables used in the studies was analyzed.
