Popis: | Humanitarian agencies are alarmed by rising malnutrition across east Africa, where recent drought has further worsened the effects of displacement, environmental degradation, and conflict related food shortages. Somalia and Ethiopia have been affected by drought and rising insecurity, which makes it increasingly difficult for aid agencies to reach many of those most in need. Furthermore, recent massive rises in food prices have compromised the ability of agencies to deliver aid and have reduced people’s capacity to feed their families.
