Popis: | The author argues that an edenic view of the country prevail since the colonial times to the present, that is, a view of nature, its beauty, grandeur and wealth, as the major reason for national pride, above other reasons such as the character of the people and national history. He suggests that this view may be linked to an also persistent negative view of the people. |
