Popis: After agriculture, the handicraft sector is India's second largest unorganized and employmentgenerating sector. In ancient times or in the past, it was a good source of foreign exchange. This research paper aims to look into the level of handicraft schemes among Jammu and Kashmir's entrepreneurs. Most of the schemes are overseen by the Ministry of Textile, but many entrepreneurs face financial challenges, as well as a lack of technical expertise, awareness of government programmes, and market knowledge. The researcher looked at a variety of journals, reports, and websites, among other things. In the State of Jammu and Kashmir various avenues of business are available like Tourism, Agriculture, Export business, Handicrafts etc. Jammu and Kashmir handicrafts production and distribution offers great market potential for aspiring Entrepreneurs due to the high demand for products and high local economic returns. Furthermore, Jammu and Kashmir handicrafts have proven to be highly lucrative products in local, domestic and international markets. However, the sector is in great need of passionate, determined youth entrepreneurs to take Jammu and Kashmir handicrafts to new heights. Jammu and Kashmir handicrafts are rare treasures due to their aesthetically pleasing, often handmade craftsmanship. Also, they are sourced from organic raw materials such as cotton, silk, wool and wood making them even more unique in the international market. The traditional embroidered designs are exquisite and intricate, having been passed down through the generations maintaining such beauty which often reflects Jammu and Kashmir’s natural landscape and rich cultural history.
