The electrodialytic recovery treatment of an industrial wastewater, originating from a leaching operation on electrolytically-produced Ti crystals, is faced from both an experimental and a modeling point of view. The fundamental constituents of the wastewater (NaCl and Na 2 C 2 O 4 ) are separated and prepared for recycling in the primary process. The selective transport of ions through the monovalent-ion-permselective membranes adopted is clearly of a nonequilibrium type. Thus the modeling was based on a Kinetic approach by use of an Arrhenius-type expression relating the separation factor to current density, temperature, and concentrations in the diluate |
