Assistive technology can be used to promote accessibility and inclusion for impaired people, including musical activities, for example, through musical interfaces control using eye tracking. Technological advancements, especially the Internet growth, allowed access to a huge digital music database, which can contribute to a new form of music creation, inspired in mashup and concrete music aesthetics. Thus, Music Information Retrieval (MIR) techniques can be applied to find samples that combine themselves. In this paper, we propose the application of some MIR techniques for music segmentation and similarity, aiming at the development of a new form of musical creation and its adoption in an assistive musical interface.
