| Popis: | A case study of sinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy is reported. A Japanese male developed lymphadenopathy in the nasal cavity 10 years ago. Biopsy specimens demonstrated massive histiocytosis with phagocytosis of lymphocytes, plasmacytes, and erythrocytes. During the course of his illness, the patient experienced an episode of massive nasal bleeding, and a tracheotomy was performed because of dyspnea. He had also an operation by Killian's approach to relieve a visual disturbance. The patient has been treated with cyclophosphamide and prednisolone for 6 months. |
