Popis: Due to the pressing request of enhanced performance of new rail applications, GSM-R should be substituted by novel solutions for managing wireless multi-bearer links for train-to-ground (and vice versa) available along the rail path, as Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) and Adaptable Communication System (ACS). The same need envisaged in the railway community can be found in the case of an emergency scenario, where first responders are not aware of the available/active communication networks in the area. So that they can benefit from the usage of UAVs, HAPS and LEO satellite in synergy with the 5G network. This research proposal is focused on the extension of the FRMCS/ACS approaches to the emergency scenarios where first responders are involved and can save time to send/receive data to the remote server in the control room. Many challenges and issues need to be considered, as the management of communications, safety/security aspects, interconnection with the existing (public) 5G networks, the control of QoS/QoE for mission critical communications. The ambition of this extension of FRMCS/ACS concepts to this scenario is to increase the availability of the communication network to be used by the first responders.
