Popis: This research paper aims at investigating the use of four types of 2DOF controllers to control the speed of a gas turbine for reference input tracking. MATLAB control and optimization toolboxes are used to tune the four controllers using functional constraints to adjust the performance of the closed loop control system. The performance of the control system of the gas turbine using the four 2DOF controllers is compared of that using a conventional PID controller where graphical and quantitative comparison is presented. The best 2DOF controller structure is assigned based on these comparisons.
