Popis: ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) is an extracorporeal oxygenation technique that involves the use of a specialized membrane to oxygenate the blood and remove carbon dioxide out of the body. It is commonly used in critically ill patients with severe respiratory or cardiac failure to provide life support while waiting for organs to recover normal function.1
